.NET Test Automation Engineer
Are you very much into manual testing? Then this position might not exactly be your thing. But does manual testing make you very itchy? Perfect. Let’s automate those tests together.
What will you be doing?
Brand New Day wants to take Quality Engineering practices to the next level. Out with the manual, in with the automation (and with that we mean 100% automated testing and continuous integration). To achieve this transformation, we are looking for experienced Quality Engineers with strong software development skills and experience in developing and enhancing test automation frameworks.
You will be designing, coding and maintaining automated test applications as well as coding well commented, automated – of course – test scripts, using xUnited/nUnit to create Unit / Integration and Contract tests. You will also specify, decompose and document requirements and user stories, create and maintain software test plans, test cases and test scripts. And besides that: you’ll address technical issues through research, investigation and debugging. That’s basically it. A lot to do, a lot to achieve.
Where will you be working?
Brand New Day, a Dutch financial odd one out. We’re young, bold and have been growing like weeds in our 12-year existence. You will be a part of our very international IT-department and will join a team which consists of 3 to 5 developers. A small team, which means we’re able to communicate and act swiftly.
In bullets. You will:
- Design, code and maintain automated test applications (.NET/C#)
- Create and maintain software test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Specify, decompose, and document requirements and user stories
- Code well-commented automated test scripts using xUnit / nUnit, to create Unit / Integration and Contract tests
- Address technical issues through research, investigation, and debugging
Nice to haves
- 3 or more years in Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design
- Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing & user acceptance testing
- Knowledge in test driven development
- Familiarized with Continuous Integration, Continuous Build and Continuous Deployment Practice, Tools and trends
- Aware of current software development strategies, tools, and methodologies
